RSS your customer

Here’s a stylish little trick to be able to keep in touch with clients and customers particularly if you’re in the B2B Account Manager role and manage a number of key clients. Known here in Gloucestershire as a Farmer.

It’s about researching and keeping in touch with changes to your client’s business because when changes occur that may mean your product or service becomes desirable.

One way to automate this is to simply take the RSS feed from their website or blog. Link this to your RSS Reader and every time a change occurs in the site, you’ll get notified and shown the page that’s changed.

Clever eh?  Add this to your Google Alerts and Twitter searching of your client and you can sit back and wait for the notifications whilst sipping your gin and tonic at cocktail hour. As if?
