- Stand or sit but hold your posture well
- Choose a note to hum
- Next hum it for an entire breath
- Go low with your humming
- Feel the vibration in your chest, learn to recognise the signs of a resonant voice
- Repeat over again
Clarity and mouth control
Useful for fluency and expressions
- Stand or sit but hold your posture well
- Say a letter out loud as clear as you can, for about 10 seconds or your breath runs out
- Move your whole mouth and accentuate your cheek muscles
- Now do the rest of the alphabet in the same manner
- Repeat the alphabet
Quick clarity
This is a quick exercise to do when you haven’t much time
- Say the letters QEQR
- Move your whole mouth and accentuate your cheek muscles
Developing intonation
- If you have children, read a character book and put on some accents
- If you don’t have children, grab a company brochure and read it as though you were talking to a child. Make it interesting.
