Email, love it or hate it, it’s the comms platform of choice for business but the perennial problem is ensuring the person reads it.
Here’s three tips I bet you’ve not come across before:
- Use the subject line not for the subject but the actual message
- Put the acronym EOM after the subject line – this stands for “end of message” and your receiver will know that this is the only message and will be able to delete the email.
- Try to ensure the message fits neatly on the screen of their phone – this usually means one or two paragraphs. People don’t like scrolling down on phones.
