3 Tips to Ensure Your Emails are Read

Email, love it or hate it, it’s the comms platform of choice for business but the perennial problem is ensuring the person reads it.

Here’s three tips I bet you’ve not come across before:

  • Use the subject line not for the subject but the actual message
  • Put the acronym EOM after the subject line – this stands for “end of message” and your receiver will know that this is the only message and will be able to delete the email.
  • Try to ensure the message fits neatly on the screen of their phone – this usually means one or two paragraphs. People don’t like scrolling down on phones.
